The Rescue Collective and the Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC), work together through emergencies, natural disasters, and other major crises, because together we can make ‘great’ things happen. Based in Canberra & NSW, ARC and The Rescue Collective (QLD Based), were initially sharing contacts and resources in the domestic rescue world, supporting local companion pet rescues. ARC brought to The Rescue Collective an amazing network of supplies through both Pet Barn and Petwise, and things were flowing along just nicely, with us giving everything that we could, to one rescue at a time. Then, the fires happened. What was ultimately the biggest fire disaster in Australian history, brought together two likeminded rescue organisations. Under the governance of the Mini Kitty Commune (MKC) we began raising funds and sourcing supplies to feed the wildlife of Australia.
Whilst we are independent brands and have separate teams, at times you would not know it. We worked so closely that we were almost like one big team; a family brought together by an underlying passion for aiding animals, and the desire to get things done.
Outside of major projects, The Rescue Collective does most of its work predominantly in Queensland, while ARC works across the other states and territories of Australia.
